Amity High School senior Lillian Zhang welcomes everyone to a new local road race for an important cause.
“My club and I are hosting the Woodbridge Be The Match 5K on the Woodbridge Green to raise funds for Be The Match, an organization that provides life saving bone marrow transplants for cancer patients,” Zhang said. “It’s a wonderful community event for all ages and fitness levels.”
The event includes a post race party with food, awards, and a raffle.
About the 5K

Be The Match and Give A Spit are excited to host the 2017 Woodbridge Be The Match 5K that unites communities across Connecticut in support of helping patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. With your support in fundraising as an individual or team, you help more patients afford transplants, add potential marrow donors to the Be The Match Registry®, and make more life-saving research possible.

The Woodbridge Be The Match 5K Walk/Run and the Children’s Fun Run is an event for people of all ages and fitness levels. Take the first step by registering for the Woodbridge Be The Match timed 5K by Thom Jacobs of Paynes Corner Timing.

All proceeds from this event will benefit Be The Match.
