The Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation, based in Orange, provides grants to different area schools and organizations to help enrich the lives of young people.
One example was a recent grant to Meladee Ruzbarsky’s third-grade class at Bethany Community School to fund a production of the fairy tale play “Lost In The Attic,” with Magic Storybook Productions, headed by Bethany resident Maria Douglas.
The children performed the play before a full house at their school on May 9.
The Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation depends on donations from the public to provide these excellent programs.
We’ll keep you posted on information about their upcoming annual fundraising Gala in September.

The Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation, headquartered in Orange, is dedicated to providing arts programs for students of all ages in the Amity region and many surrounding cities and towns.

This week, third-grade students at Bethany Community School benefitted from a Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation grant and participated in a Magic Storybook play “Haunted in Time” set in the 1920’s.

The classes worked collaboratively on the “Page to Stage” program writing the script, memorizing lines, rehearsing and gathering costumes.

“They did an amazing job and should be commended,” said teacher Meladee Ruzbarsky.
