Books & Breakfast Morning Book Discussion Group

Tuesday, March 15 at 10 AM

Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf: A spare yet eloquent, bittersweet yet inspiring story of a man and a woman who, in advanced age, come together to wrestle with the events of their lives — including the loss of both their spouses — and their hopes for the imminent future.

Discussion will  be led by Carol Davidson.

Check for copies at the Circulation Desk. Refreshments will be served.

The Case Memorial Library, 176 Tyler City Road will host the following events next week:

Oscar Film: Birdman
Monday, March 16 at 7 PM
Wednesday, March 18 at 1 PM (with subtitles)

A black comedy that tells the story of an actor known for playing a superhero, as he struggles to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his career, his family, and himself. R. 119 minutes.

In Flight of the Sparrow: A Novel of Early America by Amy Belding Brown, a Puritan minister’s wife is captured by Indians. Discussion led by Carol Davidson. Check for copies at the Circulation Desk. Refreshments will be served.

Lucy Scillia Scholarship
The Friends of the Case Memorial Library are pleased to announce that applications for the Lucy Scillia Scholarship are available in the Library and at www.casememoriallibrary.org. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating high school senior who is a resident of the town of Orange. The application deadline is April 30, 2015.
