The public is invited to join with the Town of Orange to once again participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by placing a pink ribbon wreath on the front door of the Orange Town Hall, 617 Orange Center Road, Orange, CT on ThursdayOctober 25 at 1:30 p.m.

This year, instead of honoring one individual cancer survivor, the town will be honoring all survivors. 

Anyone wishing to do so may take a pink ribbon from the wreath to honor those who have survived as well as those who have succumbed to breast cancer.  

Pink ribbon cards will be sold and hung in Town Hall to benefit Susan G. Komen ConnecticutPlease make a $5 monetary contribution and dedicate your donation to those who have survived breast cancer and those who have not.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Ben’s Service Center, 115 Boston Post Road, Orange is hosting its annual Pink Out Week for Breast Cancer Awareness from Monday, Oct. 15 through Saturday, Oct. 20. Complimentary Coffee, Tea, and snacks will be served all week

For all the men and women affected by breast cancer, Ben’s will be promoting its Lubes 4 Boobs program during which it will donate $5 from every oil change done during that week. In return, you will receive a goodie bag filled with “great stuff” including coupons and promotional items from local small businesses from the area, Breast Cancer Awareness information and a free pink air freshener.

In addition, 100% of all sales of Lokai bracelets at 2 for $5 will be donated to “Lori’s Loves” towards cancer survivor Lori Girola McCarthy’s walk to help end cancer.

If you see Patrol Vehicle #22 around town this month, and you think it looks different…you’re right.

The Orange Police Department marked this vehicle in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, and they’re hoping it reminds people to reach out to those fighting this disease already and to learn more about what they can do to help minimize their own risks.

Each shirt is $20 with all proceeds going to the Breast Center.
