Donna Marie LoRusso Sacco, 84, of Norwalk, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on July 9, 2018.

Born Donata Maria LoRusso on January 2, 1934 in Waterbury, Donna graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing on August 29, 1954 and worked as an RN at St. Francis Hospital. She married John J. Sacco, MD on February 11, 1956 and over the next six years, they had four children.

Donna volunteered with the Red Cross Bloodmobile and the Norwalk Hospital Medical Library for many years. She was a long time member and avid tennis player at Shore & Country Club, where she ran the Junior Sailing Program and served on the Board of Governors. She played golf as a member of the Silvermine Golf Club where she served as Chairperson of the Women’s Handicap Committee for the Nine-Holers.

Donna enjoyed playing bridge, drawing, painting, and printmaking, and her award-winning artwork was shown at the Silvermine Art Guild. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife and mother, and for her intelligence, sharp wit and wry sense of humor.

Donna is survived by her husband John, daughter Cindy Leighton and husband Chris of Fairfield, CT; son Jay Sacco and partner Bridget Lane of Austin TX; Mark Sacco and wife Lisa of Cary, NC; son Greg Sacco of West Haven, CT; Kathryn Jayne of Orange; six grandchildren: Alaria and husband Drew, Meaghan, Julia, Ian, Carly, and Jae; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary LoRusso of Waterbury, CT and her brother James LoRusso and his wife Mary.

To honor her life, family and friends may call at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT, on Friday, July 13, from 5-8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, CT, on Saturday, July 14, at 9:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, CT 06855.

Screen Shot 2014-08-24 at 4.26.12 PMJoan Marie Autuori, 71, of Milford, beloved wife of Joseph Autuori passed away peacefully on August 13, 2014 at Bridgeport Hospital.

Born on July 8, 1943 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Mary Mills Potsch.

Until her retirement, Joan was a cook at Harding High School for the city of Bridgeport.

Devoted to her family, Joan will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The family would like to thank all the kind individuals who have been a source of love, care and support for both Joan and her family in recent years.

In addition to her husband Joseph of 50 years, she is survived by her children; Dawn O’Brien of Orange, Kelley Lambert and her husband Richard of Milford and Lisa Dodge and her husband Michael of North Haven; seven grandchildren Danielle, Joseph, Jacob, Thomas, Nicholas, Samantha and Matthew as well as her sister Charlotte Paulson and her husband George and many more loving family members and friends.

Joan is predeceased by her sister Shirley Walsh.

Friends and family may call on Friday, August 29th from 4 to 8 pm with a Prayer Service at 5:30 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT.

Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to the American Heart Association , 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
