unnamedConnex Credit Union, 212 Boston Post Road, is once again participating in Miracle Jeans Day in support of Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford. This promotion is sponsored by Credit Unions For Kids and any Connex employee who donates $5 or more will be permitted to wear jeans to work on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

However, they aren’t stopping there. Connex will be matching ANY donation from an employee or member up to $1,000, now through Monday, Sept. 26. With your help to promote this message, Connex could potentially make a $2,000 contribution to help fund groundbreaking research and life-saving equipment to help save these young lives. Making a donation is simple and they can either be made at a local Connex branch or through the Miracle Jeans Day website.

All donations are tax-deductible, and every penny goes to aid the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

“The opportunity to work alongside Credit Unions for Kids in their support of the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, is an incredibly rewarding experience,” said Carl Casper, vice president of customer advocacy, Connex Credit Union. “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to match contributions up to $1,000 and urge all of our members to make a donation, no matter how small, to the Miracle Jeans Day promotion to help change the lives of these young patients”

Visitors enjoyed the food, served both inside and out, and visited a number of booths set up by local businesses and community organizations.

Always a favorite destination, the Beardsley Zoo brought along some interesting creatures and shared a lot of information about the state’s one and only zoo.

Here are some photos from the day:
