On Thursday, Feb. 21, Orange Police officers served a search warrant at a private residence at 369 Manley Heights Road. The warrant was a result of a six-week long investigation into drug sales at that location.
Orange PD officers conducted controlled purchases from the residence on multiple occasions, resulting in numerous arrest warrants for Justin Mbelu.
During the execution of the search warrants, officers also encountered Jeffrey Mbelu, who was in possession of controlled substances and subsequently taken into custody and charged with three (3) felonies.
Officers served Justin Mbelu with all outstanding warrants, which resulted in thirteen (13) felony charges.
As a result of the search of the residence, officers seized 102 grams of marijuana, Oxycodone pills, 41 grams of THC wax folds, 69 cartridges of THC oil, packaging & weighing materials, $573 in cash, eight (8) cell phones, and a 2009 Audi A4.
According to police, Justin Mbelu, 19, of 369 Manley Heights, Orange was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, five counts of sale of controlled substances, and six counts of possession of controlled substances within 1,500 feet of a school/daycare.
Jeffrey Mbelu, 22, also of 369 Manley Heights Road, Orange was charged with operating a drug factory, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of controlled substances within 1,500 feet of a school/daycare.
