dui arrestAn officer patrolling Dogwood Road reportedly had to avoid a vehicle driving in the wrong lane toward his patrol car on Aug. 2 at 10:02 p.m.

The driver, Carol Marsan, 48, of 462 Dogwood Road, was pulled over and administered standardized roadside sobriety tests.

She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to drive in a proper lane.

Marsan was released after posting $50 bond for court Aug. 16.

BEST-POLICE-Patch-EVER-275x300 4.30.39 PMOrange Police conducting radar patrol on Derby Avenue at 1:55 a.m. on April 8, clocked a vehicle traveling at 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers had the driver, Jasper Howard, 38, of 851 Howe Ave, Shelton, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, speeding and failure to carry a license.

Howard was released after posting $50 bond for court April 22.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOrange police responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Grassy Hill Road, Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7:49 p.m.

During the investigation, officers had one of the drivers, Lauren Malski, 30, of 42 Carriage Crossing Lane, Middletown perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and following too closely.

She was released after posting $50 bond for court Dec. 9.

orange police duiOfficers responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Grassy Hill Road at 9:59 p.m. on Nov. 17.

Upon arrival, officers found that Marc Schaufler, 49, of 164 Willow Springs, New Milford was driving his vehicle when he veered off the roadway and struck a tree.

Officers had him perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to drive right and driving without insurance.

 

He was released after posting $1,000 bond for court Nov. 30.

According to the report, responding officers had one of the involved drivers, Neil Salamalay, 42, of 1696 Hartford Turnpike, North Haven, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), following too close and failure to maintain insurance.

Salamalay was released after posting $50 bond for court Nov. 20.

During the investigation, officers had one of the involved drivers, Timothy Greene, 38, of 256 West Main Street, Milford, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.

Greene was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

He was released after posting $50 bond for court Nov. 23.

According to the report, officers administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on Kevin Flynn, 312 Hawthorne Lane.

After investigation, Flynn was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive in a proper lane and evading responsibility of a motor vehicle accident.

He was released on $50 bond for court Oct. 19.

BEST POLICE Patch EVEROn Thursday, Sept. 24, Melissa Falconeri, 26, of 45 Florence Ave, Wallingford surrendered herself at police HQ at 10:30 a.m. after learning of a warrant for her arrest.

According to police, the warrant stemmed from a single-car motor vehicle accident on April 8, 2015. Investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Falconeri, and that warrant was served as listed above.

She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and failure to drive in proper lane.

Falconeri was released after posting $2,500 bond for court Oct. 10.

Upon stopping the vehicle, police administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Helen Carafa, 55, of 66 Prospect Place Ext, East Haven.

She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), driving without insurance, failure to obey a traffic signal and failure to carry a vehicle registration.

Carafa was released after posting $50 bond for court Sept. 28.

Officers located the vehicle in question, which was missing a tire, in the parking lot of the Marriott Hotel.

According to the report, police had the driver, Quanesha Parker, 22, of 276 Campbell Ave #3, West Haven, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI).

She was released after posting $50 bond for court Sept. 10.
