BEST POLICE Patch EVEROfficers responded to the scene of a one-car accident on Dogwood Road, Aug. 23 at 1:14 a.m.

There they met with the driver of the vehicle,Matthew Litwin, 20, of 472 Sportsman Rd, Orange, and had him perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol (DUI) and failure to drive in a proper lane.

Litwin was released after posting $50 bond for court Sept. 8.

orange police duiOfficers conducting radar patrol on Derby Avenue  on Aug. 17 clocked a vehicle traveling at 70mph in a 45mph zone at 1:52 a.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers had the driver,Roberto Lopez, 24, of 30 Russell St, Ansonia, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and speeding

Lopez was released after posting $50 bond for court Aug. 31.

BEST POLICE Patch EVEROn Aug. 13 at 2:45 p.m. Christopher Packard, 45, of 689 Estelle Court, Orange, surrendered himself at police headquarters after learning of a warrant for his arrest.

The arrest stemmed from a February 22 traffic accident caused by Packard, according to police.

The accident resulted in injuries to the involved parties.

Officers conducted an investigation which revealed that Packard was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Officers obtained a warrant which was served when Packard surrendered.

He was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a traffic control signal.

He was released after posting $2,500 bond, for court Aug. 27.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOrange police patrolling the Boston Post Road reportedly observed a vehicle traveling erratically, weaving within the eastbound lanes on Aug. 13, at 8:50 p.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, officers had the driver, Manolo Paladines, 29, of 143 Filmore St, New Haven perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently taken into custody.

According to police that once he was in custody, Paladines refused to participate in the booking process, and additional charges were added.

Paladines was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving without a license, failure to maintain a proper lane, interfering with an officer and refusal to be fingerprinted.

He was held on $25,000 bond for court.

police carOfficers responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Old Tavern and Orange Center roads July 27 at 6:31 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers had Terrance McGovern, 27, of 452 David Court, Orange, perform standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and failure to yield.

McGovern was released after posting $50 bond for court Aug. 10.

Officers received a complaint of an erratic driver in the Boston Post Road area on June 30 at 6:37 a.m.

Officers located the car on Lambert Road and effected a motor vehicle stop.

Officers had the driver, Kimberly Clark, 33, of 560 Lambert Road perform standardized roadside sobriety tests.

She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and failure to drive in a proper lane.

Clark was released on a promise to appear in court July 14.

Upon stopping the vehicle, police administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on Emily Donofrio, 27, of 2 Washington Ave, Danbury.

Donofrio was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to obey a traffic signal.

She was released after posting $50 bond for court April 13.

Screen Shot 2014-10-24 at 10.53.55 PMOn Oct. 7 at 7 a.m., Kenneth Donnelly, 39, of 8 Richards Ave, Seymour, surrendered himself at Orange Police Headquarters after learning of a warrant for his arrest.

The warrant stemmed from a single-car motor vehicle accident that occurred on July 18, 2014 on Route 34. (which Orange Live covered as it was happening.)

Donnelly was the driver of the involved vehicle, and was injured as a result of the roll-over accident. Officers pursued an investigation due to the crash, and that investigation led to the issuance of a warrant, which was served on the above date/time.

Donnelly was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), failure to drive in proper lane, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, illegal passing, and driving a motor vehicle with no insurance

He was released after posting $1,500 bond for court Oct. 21.

Officers reportedly observed a man driving erratically, including disregarding a stop sign on Derby Avenue on Sept. 6 at 11:24 p.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, police administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on Richard Papa, 54, of 343 Saybrook Road, Orange.

He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), failure to obey a stop sign, failure to stay in a proper lane.

Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Taco Bell, 89 Boston Post Road, for a possible medical emergency on Sept. 4 at 12:09 a.m.

Upon arrival, they found Timothy Craven, 28, of 430 Meloy Road Apt A-1, West Haven, asleep at the wheel of his vehicle, which was parked straddling multiple parking spaces.

Officers woke up Craven and administered standardized roadside sobriety tests. He was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) and illegal possession of prescription drugs.

Craven was released after posting $500 bond for court Sept. 18.
