IMG_5206As we announced on Saturday, Eli’s Orange, at 285 Boston Post Road, will open its doors on Thursday, July 16.

Well, tonight Orange Live and several town employees and dignitaries were treated to a sneak peek of the inside.

Eli’s Orange will bring to its new location the loved Eli’s style restaurant serving upscale American fare with an Italian twist, a great bar and plenty of TVs for your viewing pleasure.

The 189 person restaurant will feature Eli’s signature centerpiece horseshoe bar which is the leather tufted luxurious elevated booths, matching leather bar stools, dark hardwood floors and walnut tables, walls and a fabulous walnut ceiling that must be seen to be believed. (Tonight guests commented that they felt like dancing on the ceiling.)

The Orange Restaurant is most like the Milford location, yet each is unique in its own way.

Open for lunch and dinner daily, Eli’s Orange serves all of your favorite Eli’s menu items which you have enjoyed over the years at their other locations, including their Philly cheese steak egg rolls, penne a la vodka and a wide variety fresh-daily seafood, chicken and steak dishes, all types of sandwiches and burgers, grilled flatbreads, crisp fresh entree salads, delicious desserts and daily specials.

They will also serve a late-night menu right up until closing 7 days a week.

The one-of-a kind center island bar will boast 24 draft lines, 18 different wines by the glass, specialty martinis and handcrafted cocktails.

Come and enjoy Eli’s Happy Hour, offered every Monday – Friday 4-6 pm in the bar with discounted appetizers and drink specials. “Eli’s is a place where everyone knows your name,” said Shawn Reilly, Director of Operations for Eli’s Restaurant Group and Happy Hour is a great place to start both your evening and those relationships.

Reilly said Eli’s rapid growth which has led to a doubling of the size of its flagship restaurant in Hamden, the opening of Eli’s Daniel Street Tavern in downtown Milford and the new Eli’s Orange, all within 12 months

“Our loyal customers come from all over Connecticut and they are always suggesting that we open a restaurant in their neighborhood. With the success of our restaurant group over the past twenty years we are always looking for new expansion opportunities and we always wanted to be in Orange as it is a great Town and opportunity for us,” he said. “The Post Road in Orange is obviously the logical place to go in Orange and we love our spot and the Town and people we have met there in the short time we have been there. We look forward to continuing our tradition of building strong relationships in the areas where our restaurants are located.”
