On Thursday, March 28, the Orange Police Department welcomed its two newest officers, Andre Coutu and James “JP” Withington.

Andre is from Danville, VT, and is a 2013 graduate of Castleton State College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He was a 2014 graduate of the Vermont Department of Corrections Academy and was formerly employed as a probation and parole officer with that department.

JP is from West Haven, and is a 2015 graduate of the University of New Haven, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He was formerly employed as a tournament director for East Coast Classic Tournaments and as a hockey coach for ProCrease Goaltending and Elite Hockey Program.

The Chiefs and Officers of the Orange Police Department wish Andre and JP long and safe careers with their agency.

Orange Police Commission Chairman Jack Barton administered the oath of office.
