William “Bill” Wragg of Branford died on Wednesday, June 20 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Loretta Wragg. He was the father of Deborah A. Musco (Michael) of Orange, William J. Wragg of Westminster, MD, Ray (Press) Prescott of Prescott, AZ, Bobby D. Wragg (Brenda) of Laurel, MD, and Beverly L. Lamarre (Ray) of Litchfield, New Hampshire.

He also is survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Bill was born in Staten Island, N.Y. on April 16, 1929, a son of Raymond and Louise Burt Wragg. He grew up in Norwood, MA, and later moved to Connecticut where he worked as an artist for the Strouse Adler Company in New Haven.

He was also an insurance inspector for Peabody Mutual. He was a long time member of the Elks Club in Norwood, MA, and Branford, CT. He was an Auxiliary Policeman and later a Supernumerary Policeman in Branford for many years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church in Branford.

Burial will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.

Friends may call Sunday from 4-6 PM at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford.
