Orange American Legion Post 127 Baseball

Orange Post 127 defeated Stratford 3-2 on Tuesday thanks to a walk-off single. The game was tied at two with Orange Post 127  batting in the bottom of the seventh when Adam Hurwitz singled off of Stratford’s pitcher, driving in one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Mike Ficaro struck out two, while Stratford’s pitcher sat down five.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Orange Post 127  tied things up at one.
Ficaro earned the win for Orange Post 127. He went seven innings, surrendering two runs, six hits, striking out two, and walking one. Stratford’s pitcher took the loss. He tossed six and two-thirds innings, giving up three runs, eight hits, and striking out five.
Adam Hurwitz and Chase Burzynski each drove in one run to lead Orange Post 127.
A Stratford player went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Stratford in hits.
