Arline Geane, 92, of East Otis, Massachusetts, formerly of Orange, CT, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

She was born on August 21, 1925, to the late Paul Schutt and Freda Brandt.

Arline was predeceased by her husband George A. Geane, her daughter, Jennifer D. Geane and her sisters, Dorothy Macmillan and Phyllis Peatross.

Arline, better known as “Amah,” was the world to her children and grandchildren; she attended every event and loved sharing holidays and special times with her family. Amah was everything they all needed in life and more. Anybody that she would meet immediately called her Amah and would fall in love. She had a heart of gold and touched every single person she came in contact with.

Arline enjoyed spending her time at the senior center, gardening, learning how to create new recipes in the kitchen, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing Words With Friends on her iPad and spending time with her best cat, Sasha.

Arline leaves behind her children, Geoffrey (Lynne) Geane of East Otis, MA and George (Linda) Geane II of Orange, CT. She also is survived by her six grandchildren, Jason (Jennifer) Geane, Allison (James) Paturas, Katryn (Tony) Crawford, Elizabeth (James) Lafo, Kimmery (Malcolm) Migel, and Parker (Courtney) Geane and her two great-grandchildren, J. Christopher Geane and Landon Lafo, along with many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Orange Congregational Church, 205 Meetinghouse Lane, Orange, CT. Entombment will follow at Orange Center Cemetery on Orange Center Road, in Orange.

She was born to Joseph and Angelina Rose Money on September 16, 1919, and raised in Bridgeport, CT. She graduated from Bassick High School in Bridgeport.

She and her husband Donald resided in Orange, Ct before retiring to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1982.

As a homemaker, she enjoyed cooking especially on holidays and other special occasions. She also enjoyed decorating, was an avid reader, and an accomplished bridge player.

Rosaline will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by her nieces and caregivers Mary McIntyre and Teresa Camarro.

She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

Rosaline was predeceased by her husband Donald Kirby, six brothers and five sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:30am in St. Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, 45 Beach City Rd, Hilton Head Island. Inurnment will follow in the church Columbarium.

She was the wife of the late Louis P. Apuzzo.

Marie was born in New Haven on September 25, 1925; daughter of the late Theodore and Antoinette Buonocore Anquillare; she and her late husband were the owner and operators of the former Apuzzo Market, West Haven.

Marie was an active parishioner and volunteered much of her time to St. Therese Church, North Haven; was a member of A.C.I.M., but most importantly was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her “little pumpkins” whom she loved unconditionally.

Mother of Patricia (Thomas) Elliot, Mary Lou (John) DiPaola and Michael P. Apuzzo, Sr. and his late wife Regina. Grandmother of Stephen (Claudine) Elliot, Christopher (Alison) Elliot, Melissa (David) Knight, Mark Peter (Cristiana) DiPaola, Scott (Kate) Apuzzo, Michael P. Apuzzo, Jr. and Louis C. Apuzzo.

Great-Grandmother of Andrew, Matthew, Ashley, Celeste and Dax Elliot, Juliana DiPaola and Luca Knight. Sister of Ceasar Anquillare and Louis (Rosemarie) Anquillare.

The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. 

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese at 10:00.

obituaryRuth Ann Burrini, 71, of Delray Beach Florida, passed away March 10, 2014.

Ruth was born in New Haven CT on April 14, 1942. She grew up in Orange and graduated from Amity Senior High School. Ruth was the best wife, mother and friend to everyone she knew. There are no words to describe what she meant to all that loved her.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Emma Tamaro Sr, her sister Elsie Pucillo and her brother Peter Tamaro.

Ruth is survived by her husband Jesse Burrini, her daughters Gina Newsome, Stacy Crosson and Raven Marie Chapter, her sons Raymond DiVerniero and Jesse Burrini Jr. Her Grandchildren Cassie, Jessica, Kyle, Raymond, Nicholas, Lauren, Gianna, Jesse and Milana and her three great grandchildren Aiden, Autumn and Landon. She is the aunt of Dorine Mosher of Orange.
