Connecticut Against Gun Violence will host a public hearing for H.B. 5540, to regulate ghost guns, and H.B. 5542, to ban bump stocks on Friday, March 23, 10-11 a.m. at the Legislative Office Building, 300 Capitol Ave., Hartford.
Let’s show legislators the strength and passion of the gun sense movement in the aftermath of Parkland.
What, some may ask, is a bump stock? It’s the device the Las Vegas shooter used to convert his assault weapon into a machine gun, killing and injuring more than 500. It can shoot 100 rounds a minute.
There are three ways you can participate:
1. Attend in person as an observer
2. Submit written testimony (with/without attending)
3. Testify in person at the hearing
