From the Congregation Or Shalom Social Action Committee:
In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy we are all wondering what to do and how we can help.

Congregation Beth Elohim, in Park Slope, Brooklyn, has opened its doors as a gathering and organizing place for the community.  They are accepting items for collection, preparing and distributing food daily to Far Rockaway and Red Hook, Brooklyn and mobilizing volunteers.

Social Action Committee is requesting donations to this synagogue to help them in this extraordinary and selfless effort.

Please either donate directly to their website congregationbethelohim.org or donate through Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Road, Orange, writing your check to Congregation Beth Elohim with the notation “Area of Greatest need/General fund.”
