On Jan. 6, at 2:03 p.m. Orange police responded to the Target Store at 25 Boston Post Road on a shoplifting complaint.

The investigation revealed that Christopher M. Carr, 26, of Milford had taken merchandise without paying for it. He was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Carr was released on a promise to appear in court on Jan. 18.

Officers responded to the Kohl’s store, 250 Bull Hill Lane on a shoplifting complaint on July 18 at 2:19 p.m.

According to the report, Isabel Vega, 25, of New Haven allegedly took $183 worth of clothing and accessories from the store without paying. Store employees stopped her outside the store and detained her until police arrived.

Vega was charged with sixth-degree larceny and released on a written promise to appear in court on August 1.

Officers responded to the AC Moore store,210 Indian River Road, on a shoplifting complaint, Dec. 22 at 5:45 p.m.

Officers learned that the arrestee had taken various merchandise valued at a total of $480 out of the store without paying for it.

According to police,Sharifa Burnett, 31, of Bridgeport, tried to give officers a fake name during the investigation. She was subsequently taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny and interfering with an officer.

Burnett was released after posting $500 bond. She was given a court date of Jan. 4.

During the investigation, officers learned that Alisha Proto, 30, of New Haven reportedly had taken $67 worth of jewelry and cosmetics from the store without paying.

She was stopped outside the store and detained for police. Officers arrived, and she was subsequently taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Proto was released after posting $100 bond, for court Oct. 5.

screen-shot-2016-09-13-at-11-03-34-pmOrange police investigated a larceny complaint at a private residence on Tyler City Road at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 19.

According to the report, the arrestee, Brett Rebhun, 46, of West Haven, was related to the homeowner there, and had entered her home without permission.

While inside, he took about $1,200 worth of jewelry, then left. A different relative found the jewelry in the arrestee’s possession and returned it to the owner. Officers took Mr. Rebhun into custody and he was charged with fourth-degree larceny and third-degree criminal trespass.

He was released on a promise to appear in court Sept. 6.
