Julius “Snap” Mindlin 101, of Orange and New Port Richey, Florida entered into eternal rest at his Florida home on February 22, 2016.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty). Snap was born in Stamford CT December 25, 1914. He was the son of the late Joseph and Gussie Mindlin.
He is survived by his children, Jay Mindlin (Wanda) of Pompano Beach, FL, Debbie Davis (Paul) of Orange, Tricia Kiddell of Rockford, IL, and Margaret Locke (Douglas) of Port Richey, FL; 11 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Nathan, and sisters, Naomi and Ruthie.
Snap spent most of his life in Stamford and had a long career in retail. He was a devoted and fun loving family man.
He was a member and former Exalted Ruler of the Stamford Elks and a member of the Halloween Yacht Club. He and Betty retired to New Port Richey Florida in 1992, living part of year with family and friends in Orange.
Funeral is private. The family will observe a period of mourning from 2 to 5 p.m. and a memorial service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 28 at the home of Debbie and Paul Davis in Orange.
