This is the third day of the annual Odyssey Greek Festival at St. Barbara’s Church, 480 Racebrook Road, Orange. In the event of rain, don’t worry, there are tents outside the church near the Community Center where you can dine. You also may enjoy your meal in the large dining hall which is open and bustling with activity.

Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church will host ODYSSEY 2017: A Greek Festival, Friday, September 1 to Sunday, September 4.

This 4-day party features all things Greek, including mouthwatering cuisine, live music, dancing, and a bustling Hellenic agora (marketplace). Set on the grounds of the beautiful Byzantine-style Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, ODYSSEY 2017 offers something for everyone.

ODYSSEY 2017 includes: 

• Classic Greek cuisine – appetizers (meze), Greek pastries (glyka), lamb on the spit (souvla), moussaka, gyro, spanakopita (spinach pie) and pastitisio (Greek style lasagna) • “Gourmet Meze Grille” – gourmet appetizers, including saganaki (flaming cheese),

A tropical storm warning is in effect through Tuesday evening, but, Orange most likely will only see some heavy wind gusts on and off.

IMG_9482The annual St. Barbara Odyssey Greek Festival is up and running at 480 Racebrook Road, and even with the threat of heavy winds from a pesky tropical storm named Hermine, organizers assure you that the festival will go on.

Today’s festival programs run from 12 to 10 p.m., and in the event of any kind of inclement weather, the activities will simply move indoors!.

Festival to Feature All Things Greek including Greek Cuisine, Live Music, Greek Dancing, and a bustling Hellenic agora (marketplace).

Set on the grounds of the beautiful Byzantine-style Saint Barbara Greek Orthodox Church, ODYSSEY 2016 offers something for everyone.

Greek FoodThe Annual St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church Odyssey Festival takes place on the church grounds, 480 Race Brook Road, Orange for four days on Labor Day weekend beginning at noon, Friday, Sept. 4.

For 35 years the festival has drawn visitors from near and far for some of the best authentic Greek food, music and dancing available anywhere in New England.

As always, parking and admission are free. the festival goes on rain or shine.

Hours are:

Friday, Sept. 4: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 5: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 6: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. and finally, Monday, Sept. 7, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Senior Day

Friday, Sept. 4 Seniors Get a 20% discount on meals between 12-3 p.m.
