IMG_5491All week long we’ve been hearing about what a terrible weather day we’d have today, but, as always, the forecast changed and it won’t be a washout.

Rain during the Orange Volunteer Firemen’s Carnival means big financial losses for the Fire Department.

The forecast keeps changing so it’s anyone’s guess. People who attended the Saturday matinee got the most out of their wristbands, going on rides without any waiting period and the food tent was serving up food quickly without any wait either. Enjoy your day!!!

The wristbands that you bought online are good today from noon to 5 p.m. for the Saturday Matinee, and this evening from 5 p.m. to midnight. So plan your day accordingly.

Wristbands also will be good tomorrow from noon to 5 p.m. and it’s supposed to be pleasant and less humid.

Remember, the Orange Volunteer Firemen and other volunteers already are at the fairgrounds, no matter what the weather. There is still a lot to do IF it rains and you aren’t on the rides. There will be plenty of food available for lunch/dinner. And no time like the present to buy your $5 raffle tickets — first prize is a $7,000 Visa Card.

The Women’s Fire Auxiliary has baked some of the most delicious pies you will every have…they are located in the center of the Main Food Tent (under the pavilion).

Come on down to the Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road today and support the Orange Volunteer Firefighters, who are there for you 24/7/365.
