State Reps. Charles Ferraro (R-117) and Pam Staneski (R-119) recently visited the New Haven Vet Center, 291 S Lambert Road Suite 5, Orange, to discuss the services the center offers to area veterans and how the state can better assist Veterans.

Rep. Ferraro, the Ranking Member of the legislature’s Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, said, “The New Haven Vet Center provides quality care and top notch services for our Veterans. Veterans and their families have a great resource right in their backyard and I encourage them to utilize the services offered by the center from their professional and friendly staff. I will continue to work with my colleagues in Hartford to make sure that our state provides the best possible services for our Veterans.”

Rep. Staneski said, “This Vet Center is an extraordinary facility which offers many critical services for our veterans. I want to thank the Vet Center Director, Amy Radivoy for a great conversation and tour; they are integral to the Connecticut veteran community. As lawmakers, we pledge to do anything we can do to better support this Vet Center on a state level.”

Last year, the Vet Center provided services to over 5900 veterans, which included individual counseling, group counseling, benefits assistance, community education and much more. The center is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday by appointment.
