Following is a notice from the Rotary Club of Orange:

The Rotary Club of Orange held its 19th Annual Auction to benefit its’ Charitable Foundation on Friday, March 15. The event took place at Race Brook Country Club with more than 130 people in attendance. The evening included a Dinner Buffet, Live and Silent Auction, and a Balloon Raffle.

The Rotary Club would like to thank all those who participated, especially the dozens of local businesses who donated goods and services.

“Without the support of the community, we could not achieve the level of success we have for the past 19 years. This event is our main fundraiser, helping to provide the funding that we use to carry out our charitable endeavors” said current President Mike Richetelli. “100% of the proceeds from this event and our other fundraisers are invested back into Orange and other communities.”

The funds raised from this event will go towards supporting Orange Rotary’s initiatives both locally and abroad. Locally, they provide dictionaries to every third grader in Orange, register area children in the Amber Alert ID Program and make donations for the town food pantry and energy assistance program.

The last three years the Rotary has participated in “Operation Warm” and donated thousands of coats to area schools and shelters to help keep underprivileged kids warm. Additionally, the club awards $6,000 in college scholarships annually to high school seniors from Orange.
