This is a very busy weekend in Orange (and Amity). There are so many events to keep track of that it is easier to put them all in one place so you can access them quickly and not miss anything.

Friday, Oct. 18
5 p.m. Black and Gold Volleyball — The Lady Spartans (#5) host the Cheshire Rams (#1) today at 5 p.m. Admission is Free. Everyone is asked to wear black and gold to support the Amity girls and to bring your overwhelming team spirit for this important match.
7 – 9 p.m. Suds and Bubbles — The Orange Community Women is hosting this fundraiser at the High Plains Community Center Cafeteria. Wine and beer tasting with treats from various local restaurants. Tickets are $20 and are available at the door.
7 p.m. Amity Football — The Spartans vs Notre Dame High School at Veterans Stadium in West Haven (Parking available in the Gateway Christian Fellowship lot on Saw Mill Road)
Saturday, Oct. 19
9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Family Science Day — The SmartLiving Center, 297 Boston Post Road will host its annual Family Science Day with fun and educational events for the entire family, including a petting zoo! Admission is free.
6 – 9 p.m. Pecktoberfest — The second annual Peck Place School Pecktoberfest Haunted House of Terror takes place at the School, 500 Peck Lane. Bring your wallet, there are costs associated with different activities. Event includes a trunk or treat setup in the parking lot.
6-11 p.m. Dinner Theater — The Church of the Good Shepherd hosts the New York Dinner Theater in the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church Ballroom for the audience participation comedy “The Amazing 70s Prom.” Event includes live and silent auction, Chinese Auction, Prom Portraits, corsages and boutonnieres. Ballroom doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $75 each.
Sunday, Oct. 20
9:45 a.m. Or Shalom Men’s Club Discussion — The Or Shalom Men’s Club presents “Raising A Jewish Child in An Interfaith Family” with speaker Edmund Case, founder of Interfaith Family at Congregation Or Shalom, 205 Old Grassy Hill Road, Sunday, Oct. 20 at 9:45 a.m. Rabbi Alvin Wainhaus is the Moderator for this discussion with Coffee & … All are welcome.
2- 4:30 p.m. Trunk or Treat — A town-wide event at the High Plains Community Center on the Orange Fairgrounds, 525 Orange Center Road. Cars will set up (decorated and filled with plenty of candy) at 2 p.m.; at 3 p.m. the kids, dressed in costume, go from car to car to collect treats (don’t forget to say “Thank you.”); then at 4 p.m., prize for best costume and best decorated trunk will be awarded.
