Field conditions were terrible due to the heavy rainfall during the previous days, so the game has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m. at Amity’s John Janenda Baseball Field.
Prep lost to Amity 3-2 on its home turf on April 10 and this is its chance at redemption.
Amity, now 8-0 is forging ahead to a possible fifth consecutive state championship this year. Its biggest wins this season have been vs Xavier 12-4 and a 10-0 shutout against Career Magnet.
Prep, now 8-2 for the season has always been a formidable opponent. It’s biggest victories so far have been vs Fairfield Warde 21-7 and a 16-0 shutout against Wilbur Cross.
If you want to see a good baseball game, come on out to Amity on Saturday morning.
In the meantime, the Spartans will be away at Jonathan Law Thursday, April 27 at 4 p.m. and on Friday, April 28 at home against Sheehan at 3:45 p.m.
