Orange Town Clerk Patrick B. O’Sullivan would like to remind all owners of dogs six months or older, that June is the renewal month for dog licenses.

The costs are as follows:

Spayed Female $8.00

Unfixed Female $19.00

Neutered Male $ 8.00

Intact Male $19.00

The procedure is to either stop in at the Town Hall, Town Clerks Office Monday through Friday, or you may mail to the Town Clerks Office by enclosing:

A) Rabies vaccination certificate,

B) Neutering/Spaying certificate and

C) Check payable to the Town Clerk and

D) Self-addressed, stamped envelope; both certificates will be returned.

It is the responsibility of all dog owners to license their dogs in the month of June each year. Please note that after June 30th, there is a state-mandated $1.00 per month penalty for unlicensed dogs.

dog_license_imageIf you have a dog (or two, or more) it’s important to remember that June is Dog License Month.

Dogs 6 months or older must be licensed with the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall.

During the month of June, original rabies certificate must be shown in order to show rabies vaccination is current. Spaying and neutering certificate must also be shown.

You may mail for license. Enclose rabies certificate, neutering/spaying certificate and payment in Self Addressed Stamped Envelope to: Town Clerk, Orange Town Hall, 617 Orange Center Road, Orange, CT 06477.

After June 30, a penalty charge of $1.00 per month will be added.
