Police: Check Forgery A 28-year-old Orange resident was arrested on a warrant Feb. 2 at 3:45 p.m.

Police said the warrant stemmed from an investigation that began in November of 2014 when relatives of Danielle Dalling, 28, of 107 Indian River Road, Orange, discovered that she had stolen and forged 33 checks from an account belonging to them.

According to the report, Dalling forged $18,645 in stolen checks.

She was charged with second-degree larceny and 33 counts of second-degree forgery.

Dalling was released after posting $25,000 bond for court Feb. 16.

Police Blotter Logo thx DaveOn Friday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m., Jennifer DeMatteo, 26, of 21 Wilford Road, North Branford, surrendered herself at police headquarters on an arrest warrant.

According to the report, the warrant stemmed from a series of incidents where DeMatteo was accused of forging and cashing checks that belonged to a relative. The checks totaled $1,065.

DeMatteo was charged with third-degree larceny and seven counts of third-degree forgery.

She was released on a promise to appear in court May 3.
