The Amity Spartans Lacrosse Team was on the road in Milford at Jonathan Law High School Wednesday, April 19.
Amity took an early lead with seven goals in the first quarter. They kept up the momentum with six additional goals in the second.
Both the Spartans and the Lawmen scored three goals in the third and Amity wrapped things up in the final quarter with an additional two goals.

Jonny Law: 0-0-3-0 = 3Notable players:
Amity — Adam Cusano made 5 goals and had 1 assist; Tyler Vincent made 4 goals; Ryan Rattley, Mark DellaTorre and Tyler Ballaro each made 2 goals; Colin Hughes made 1 goal and had 4 assists; Harry Brochinsky and Luke Smith each made 1 goal and had 2 assists; Max Trachten had 2 assists; Cory Sachs and Matt Merriam each had 1 assist.

Jonathan Law —  Cole Egersheim made 2 goals and had 1 assist; Hayden Hulme made 1 goal.

Amity outshot Jonathan Law 34-13.

Saves: Amity — Matt Perrotti made 4 saves and Dane Walsh made 2 for the Spartans.  Law — Tanner Georgelos made 6 saves.

The Amity Spartans Lacrosse team was on the road in West Haven Wednesday night for a match-up against the Blue Devils.
Amity worked hard out on the field and outshot West Haven 27-18.
Tyler Vincent and Colin Hughes made 3 goals each and Ryan Rattley and Mark DellaTorre each made 2 goals.
Luke Smith had 3 assists, Mark DellaTorre had 2 assists, while Blake Batista, Matt Weidenfeller, Tyler Vincent and Ryan Rattley each had 1 assist.
Goalie Matt Perrotti, a senior, really worked the net and made 10 saves.
If you get an opportunity to watch this team play, keep your eye on #11 Capt. Corey Sachs. He is the “face-off king.” Very intense and one of the best I’ve seen in years.

IMG_9809The Amity Boys Lacrosse team hosted Daniel Hand in Woodbridge Friday afternoon.

The Tigers took a quick lead and didn’t look back.

IMG_9293The Amity Spartans Boys Varsity Lacrosse team took on the Shelton Gaels at Amity on Friday afternoon.
The Spartans took a quick lead in the first quarter (2-1) then fell behind in the second quarter (2-3) but after the half it was smooth sailing with three goals to Shelton’s 1 (5-4) and then ultimately enjoying their second win of the season (7-4) with an additional two goals in the final quarter.
Amity 2-0-3-2 = 7
Shelton 1-2-1-0 = 4
How they played: 
Tyler Vincent was Amity’s top scoring player with 2 goals. Mike Cavanagh, Ian MacDonald, Sam King, and Anthony Uscilla made 1 goal each.  Mark DellaTorre had 1 goal and 1 assist. Paul Buda had 1 assist.
Jake Brighindi was Shelton’s top player with 2 goals.  Nick Pavone and James Botti each made 1 goal. Kyle McGinnis, Carlos Maldonado, and Connor Greene had 1 assist each.
Amity outshot Shelton 30-21.
Amity’s goalie Matt Perrotti made 11 saves.
Shelton’s goal keeper Tim Schiffer made 14 saves.
Records: Amity 2-0, Shelton 0-2
The boys will be home again next Friday for a game at 4 p.m.
