This is a reminder to all Orange residents that there is a Bond Referendum vote Tuesday, April 18 from Noon – 8 p.m. at the High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road.
To learn more about what is in the bond, you can watch the short presentation from the Town Meeting: OGAT – Video on Demand (Click the link on the Left column of our page).
While chatting with Orange Highway Department Crew Chief Don Foyer, I learned that his men were almost done with their spring cleanup. IF the referendum passes they will begin road repairs.
So many residents have expressed their concerns about the condition of the streets in town and without the money, the work can’t be done.
Roads are just one thing that the bond will cover, but every item on the list is necessary and important to Orange residents.
You have eight hours to get to High Plains to vote. It only takes a second, so make the time and participate.
Residents will be voting on the following question: “Shall the appropriation of $14,950,000 and the bond authorization of $14,846,621 for various road, school, town facility and police capital projects, be approved? YES/NO”
Please forward this to any of your friends and family in Orange and remind them to take the time to vote.
