creamer obitThomas F. Creamer Jr., 79, died on March 25, 2014, after a long illness. Husband of Geraldine A. Lupoli, Atty. and son of the late Thomas F. and Laura Murray Creamer.

Tom graduated from Notre Dame High School and Fairfield University.

He was employed by Chas W. Scranton and Co. and F.S. Moseley and Co. He became the Head Municipal Bond Trader at Hartford National Bank and Trust Co., CT National Bank, Shawmut Bank, and Fleet Bank.

Tom was a licensed Registered Representative of the New York Stock Exchange and a member of CT and National Securities Traders Assn.

Aside from his vast involvement in the finance world, Tom always found time and enjoyment in rooting for his favorite hockey and baseball teams: the New York Rangers and the New York Yankees.

Friends and relatives are invited to go directly to Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Road, Orange, on Saturday, March 29, for an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven.

Screen shot 2014-03-22 at 7.18.34 PMIrene Vargo Betlinski, 85, of Orange, beloved wife of the late Leon Betlinski, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Bridgeport on May 24, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie Jakubik Vargo.

Irene was a secretary at Prudential Insurance Co. in Bridgeport for many years before she devoted many years to the loving care of her family. She was a former parishioner of St. Agnes Church in Woodmont.

Irene was an avid fan and enjoyed watching the N.Y. Yankees where she could be heard yelling at the TV.

She cherished the time she spent playing cards and board games with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Laura Betlinski Albert. Survivors include a daughter, Jean Eberts of Trumbull, a son, Michael Betlinski and his wife Lisa of CA, a brother, Andrew Vargo and his wife Joan of Orange, two sisters, Margaret Vargo and Jennie Vargo both of Bridgeport, seven grandchildren, Michael DiLella, Joseph DiLella and his fiancé Jennifer, Nicholas Eberts and his wife Christy, Brian Eberts, Mary Eberts Thornton and her husband Brian, Alex Betlinski and Christine Betlinski, nine great grandchildren, Zachary, Nicholas, Eden, Adam, Adrianna, Anthony, Ella, Alexandra and Michael as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the funeral home, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sienna Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
