Supt. Lynn McMullin holds up a copy of the Student Policy Book during the July OBOE meeting.

The Orange Board of Education (OBOE) is going Green.

The Student Policy Handbook that always went home with every student every year will be available in its entirety online on the OBOE website.

“Any family that does not have a home computer may request a printed version,” said Supt. Lynn McMullin.

Making the handbook available electronically not only saves trees, but also saves the OBOE money on the would be printing costs, which in turn saves the taxpayers money since the taxpayers fund the school system.

The first day of school in Orange is Wednesday, Aug. 29.
