A scene from “Almost Maine” which Amity was invited to perform at the Fringe Festival.

Fifteen Amity Creative Theater students and two chaperones, Director Rob Kennedy and Costume Designer Julie Chevan were invited to the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scotland.

Orange Live has been bringing you daily updates since they departed from Amity on Saturday, Aug. 11, with comments from Kennedy, accompanied by photos from Kennedy and parent Russ Adair.

From Scotland on Monday, Kennedy checked in with this update: “Almost Maine closed today to our largest audience of 80. We had a nice review on broadwaybaby.com and enjoyed another school from Canada’s production of ‘Sir Gawain the Yellow Knight.’ Afterwards some of the group saw the Rent themed Anthony Rapp show “Without You” and others saw “A guide to second date…” while the two chaperones saw the incredible “Blind.”

Tomorrow looks promising as we have an entire day to see shows and will be attending the military tattoo!
