The first few minutes of the first inning at Monday night’s Legion baseball game between Orange and Milford was a great example of how the game is played.

First at bat was Keith Klebart who doubled with a fly ball to right field.

Next Jake Russo hit a fly ball to center field advancing Klebart to third.

Then Matt Ronai slammed a homer over left field and Klebart scored.

On the Milford side, the first two batters struck out, then Raccio hit a home run to left field, followed by two players batting singles, etc.

For a short time, Milford led the game in the second inning, but Orange quickly tied, then took the lead 8-6 in the third inning.

The game was suspended at the top of the fourth inning due to storms.

Keith Klebart was 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Matt Ronai was 3-3 with a home run and 4 RBI.

The game will be made up at a later date.

Orange plays Hamden tonight at 7 p.m. at Hamden High School
