jpegOfficers responded to the Best Buy store, 53 Boston Post Road, on a fraud complaint, May 4 at 7:11 p.m.

During the investigation, officers learned that Kenya Hunter, 33, of 312 55th St NE, Washington DC had attempted to purchase $2,477.89 worth of merchandise with credit cards in someone else’s name.

According to the report, when store employees asked her for photo identification, Hunter left the store, but officers found her a short distance away, where she was taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree larceny, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, criminal impersonation and second-degree forgery.

Hunter was held on $5000 bond for court May 5.
