Police Headquarters

On Sept. 8 at 2:45 p.m., Orange police officers responded to the New Haven courthouse where Rachel Tobias, 19, of 499 Ferry St, New Haven, was being held on an unrelated matter.

Tobias was wanted on a warrant stemming from a June 2014 incident in which she was accused of taking $70.95 worth of cash and clothing from her former employer, the Savers store at 130 Boston Post Road in Orange.

Officers brought her to Orange Police Headquarters, where they served the warrant charging sixth-degree larceny.

Tobias was released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 22.
