The Amity vs North Haven games on the Bill Johnson Field is typically played with a football, but on Friday, May 1, Amity began what may be a new tradition — Lacrosse under the lights.
Unfortunately for our Spartans the undefeated Indians showed no mercy for their hosts.
North Haven was first to score, and Amity did a pretty good job keeping up with them – in the first quarter.
The game was tied 2-2 in the first quarter. But the Indians pulled ahead in the second quarter with 4 goals to Amity’s 1, going into the half with a 6-3 lead. They continued their onslaught with 4 more goals in the third, ending that quarter 10-3. The Spartans fought back in the final quarter, making 2 goals to the Indians 1, but it just wasn’t enough. North Haven won this battle 11-5.
