Screen Shot 2016-03-02 at 11.27.47 PMThe Orange Ale House Grille and Burger Bar, 517 Boston Post Road will host the second annual “Who Makes the Best” Meatball Challenge on Saturday, April 9 from 6-10 p.m.

It’s going to be a another fun night to see who makes the best balls around and raise some money for The Hole in the Wall Gang.
A $25 admission includes meatballs from the contestants, unlimited ziti, salad and Italian bread.
The Wine Tasting is sponsored by CONNECTICUT DISTRIBUTORS and a beer tasting by NEW ENGLAND BREWING COMPANY.
The contest is open to individual entries only. Please no restaurant or company entries. First and second prizes will be awarded. The winner gets a beautiful trophy, a $100 gift card to OAH, a Food Channel contract and bragging rights for the year. Ok… so we’re kidding about the Food Channel contract.
There will be a desert cocktail bar, some misc donated desserts and raffles/silent auctions too. Anyone who is able to secure or contribute a silent auction/raffle prize, please contact any committee member. Or email info@Orangealehouse.com

This is sure to be a great, memorable night. To be a sponsor and have your sign prominently displayed at the event, contact Jim Hassenmayer. There is no cost to enter or to attend as a contestant.
Celebrity judges include local TV and radio personalities and musicians.
All contestants must enter as individuals. No matter what your degree of training you can not enter as part of a commercial venture.
All meatballs should be brought that night in a standard half-tray approx 9.5 x 12. Chafing dishes and sternos will be provided. Plan on making 60 golf ball sized meatballs.
Any type of meatball is welcome. The only requirement is that it be round. Sauce/no sauce, Italian, Swedish, Mexican, beef, pork, veal, chicken etc.

Contestants should be in place and ready to serve no later than 6:30 p.m. that night. Serving spoons, plates etc. will all be provided. All you need to bring are your balls!
