screen-shot-2016-09-29-at-12-37-55-amOrange police responded to the Kohl’s store on Bull Hill Lane on a shoplifting complaint, Sept. 21 at 1:32 p.m.

During the investigation, officers learned that Alisha Proto, 30, of New Haven reportedly had taken $67 worth of jewelry and cosmetics from the store without paying.

She was stopped outside the store and detained for police. Officers arrived, and she was subsequently taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Proto was released after posting $100 bond, for court Oct. 5.
