Orange Post 127 and New Haven played a taut affair on Monday, but our hometown boys eventually prevailed 6-4 after taking the lead for good in the fifth inning.

New Haven captured the lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Jared Smith scored one run for New Haven.

Smith earned the win for Orange. He threw seven innings, surrendering four runs, seven hits, and striking out five. New Haven’s pitcher went five innings, surrendering five runs, six hits, and striking out five.

Post 127 collected nine hits. Teddy Hague, Al Smith, and Chase Burzynski each made multiple hits for  Orange. Andy Hague, Jack Nolan, Burzynski, and Smith each drove in one run to lead Orange.
