The OACC presents the watercolors of Dennis Gentle, 93, at Town Hall Gallery Throughout the month of September.

Australian born Dennis Gentle has spent his entire working career world wide in the art and design fields. Currently teaching and exhibiting his watercolor painting, he has also volunteered at Yale’s Smilow Hospital for many years, helping cancer patients to better cope with their health and related emotional issues by painting for them. He is still remembered by many of them for his kindness and encouragement given in their time of need.

New Haven, his home base, also remembers him for his pottery studio, where he created fabulous works of art. People came from far and wide to see and purchase them. His other commissions include a long history with B.B.C.Broadcasting as Art Director, and Production Designer on seven feature films in England, Australia, and other locations around the globe.

Mr. Gentle currently paints every day, he gives private lessons, teaches home bound clients, and exhibits his work in various venues.

There is no meet the artist event for this month’s display (and what a shame, because Mr. Gentle is absolutely charming), but the gallery is open Monday – Friday during regular Town Hall hours. All of his paintings are available for sale.

Come in to see this show, it’s well worth your time.
