You know the saying, “April showers bring May flowers.” Well, here’s another one, “Batten down the hatches.” Today’s forecast promises plenty of wet and wild weather.

A wind advisory remains in effect from 2 p.m. to midnight with westerly winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 50 mph.

As a cold front comes through this afternoon, with a line of thunderstorms, between 1 and 4 p.m., strong winds may blow down trees, limbs and power lines. Some scattered power outages are expected.
