On Friday, Jan. 29, officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and blowing through a red stoplight on Old Tavern Road at 10:08 p.m.

During the traffic stop, police spoke to the driver, Christopher J. Celone, 43, of Orange who was slurring his speech.

He was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests.

Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, possession of less than 1/2 ounce of marijuana and failure to obey a traffic signal.

Celone was released after posting a $500 bond and given a court date of Feb. 22.
