After losing its second game of the season, this time to Notre Dame-West Haven on Monday, the Amity Spartans were back on track Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Amity hosted Jonathan Law in Woodbridge. The Spartans shut out the Lawmen 5-0.

On Wednesday, the Spartans were on the road in Wallingford against Sheehan.

With Max Scheps pitching and a phenomenal 10-run third inning, Amity defeated Sheehan 21-6.

Amity      4310 030 1 — 21
Sheehan 20 1  021 0 —   6

Amity’s season record as of Wednesday, May 17,  16-2

The final game of the regular season takes place tonight as Amity takes on Cheshire at Old Tavern Road Complex in Orange at 7 p.m.

Amity (17-2) defeated Cheshire (13-8) 1-0 earlier in the season, so this should be a good game.

On Monday, May 22, the Spartans are home in Woodbridge to play in the SCC Quarterfinals at 4 p.m. Come on out and cheer on the Spartans as they reach for another state record — a fifth State Championship title.
