IMG_0125Friday’s SCC matchup between Amity and Shelton was highlighted by pitcher Mike Concato’s ability to strike out 12 of the Gaels batters and allow only 3 hits during the game.

Concato’s fastball — estimated at about 90 mph is hard to hit, which is one reason why Dartmouth wants him on their team.

Jake Russo, Keith Klebart and Justin Ashworth scored in this game.

Amity improved to 7-1 and Shelton dropped to 6-3.

Amity takes on Branford on Monday at HOME at 3:45 p.m
