Rudy was born December 20, 1929 in New Haven, son of Crescenzo and Rose Libero Ruotolo. Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Elizabeth (Betty) Bevilacqua Ruotolo.

Rudy was a member of Local 777 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union and worked for Buckingham Routh Co. He was also owner of Mechanical Service, Inc. for 20 years when he semi-retired. He continued to work with his son until just recently.

Rudy was a member of the Orange Lions Club where he was a past president, treasurer and Lion Tamer. He also was a recipient of the Ambassador of Sight Award and Melvin Jones Fellow; the highest award to be given to a Lion.

Rudy was a member of West Cove Marina where he spent many hours on his boat “Pipe Dream.” Many knew Rudy over the years as Mr. Fix-it.

He was an avid NY Yankees, Giants and Rangers fan. He was deeply loved by many and will be missed.

Loving and cherished father of Ronald (Laurie) Ruotolo of Orange, Roseann (Thomas) Guidone of Hamden, and Regina (Joseph) Archazki of Naples, FL. Grandfather of Nicole and Derek Perigard, Jennifer, Brett and Leah Ciancola, Chelsea (Michael) Castelot, Danielle Ruotolo and Dakota Bouve. Great-grandfather of Kyle Fennelly and Parker Castelot.

Brother of Orlando, Lawrence, Theresa and Renaldo Ruotolo. Predeceased by two brothers; Louis Ruotolo Sr. and Crescenzo Ruotolo. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Samuel Geller and the staff at Connecticut Hospice for their exceptional care of our loved one.

Friends may call at the Porto Funeral Home, 830 Jones Hill Rd. West Haven, Monday from 5-8 p.m.

His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9:30.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Infant Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
