The 2013 Senior Amity Spartan Baseball Players

The 2013 Senior Amity Spartan Baseball Players

With Friday’s Graduation, Amity lost 7 great baseball players from it’s championship varsity team.

But if you want to see some of these players in action this summer, several of them are on the #2 American Legion Orange Post 127 baseball team.

Mike Concato, who amazed us with his 93 MPH fastball at Amity and sailed a few balls over the fence this season; Max Ritchie, who, at 6’7″ is hard to miss in a crowd and bats as well as he pitches; Justin Ashworth on 1st base is a force to be reckoned with; Austin Pokluda who has really shown his chops on the mound for the legion; Sam Nepiarsky, whose beach ball retrieval at graduation was one for the record books; and the mayor of the front row at graduation Keith Klebart is an unstoppable shortstop.

All 7 are off to college in the fall where Orange Live is sure they will succeed in sports and whatever else they set out to do.

Thank you guys for an exciting Spartans baseball season, and Congratulations on graduating Amity.

Anyone who would like to see the guys play this summer, the home games take place at Brinley Field at Old Tavern Park (night games at 7 p.m.)
