A Message from Dr. David Young, CEO Stony Creek Urgent Care:

As of May 28, 2020, we have tragically lost more than 100,000 of our fellow Americans to an ugly virus called COVID-19. Over 3,500 have been residents of Connecticut. To date, Connecticut has more than 41,000 confirmed cases with 7,127 having recovered and over 12,000 have been hospitalized. To date, a total of 225,362 have been tested.

Though our COVID-19 infection rates are decreasing in Connecticut to good adherence to social distancing, mask-wearing, and handwashing, the prevalence of COVID-19 infections continues going strong with increases in much of the United States. Recent studies suggest we can expect a second wave in the fall or perhaps sooner

In addressing this need, Stony Creek has remained open and on the front lines of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 response for Southern Connecticut since day one!

We continue to offer COVID-19 testing including Nasopharyngeal PCR testing for those with symptoms and Serology IgG testing for those who suspect they may have had COVID-19. We soon expect to administer sputum testing as well.

Our main concern is to do our best to keep everyone SAFE & HEALTHY! Use our TELEMED SERVICE or our ON-LINE REGISTRATION on our website: www.scucare.com We are all in this TOGETHER!

If you have questions or concerns call our Orange clinic, 236 Boston Post Road, at 203-815-1054

With the Coronavirus, our lives have changed in many ways. We can’t just go to the supermarket and zoom down an aisle for something then backtrack if we forgot an item (one-way traffic).

Well, going to the zoo is no different. You can’t just show up on a whim due to stricter protocols.

The Beardsley Zoo is opening up again for the first time since March 17 on Monday, June 1, and things have changed. Not only do they have several new animals, including a female companion for Peanut the wolf.

Watch this VIDEO so you will know what to expect before going and once you get there.
