On Wednesday, Oct. 6, Orange police responded to the Derby Courthouse at 10:50 a.m. to process Elizabeth Sophia Flanagan, 36, of Milford, who was being detained on an unrelated matter. 

It was discovered that she was wanted on an active arrest warrant out of the town of Orange. Subsequently, she was charged with fifth-degree larceny, criminal impersonation, interference and two counts of second-degree forgery. 

Flanagan was arraigned at the Derby Court

Orange police responded to the area of Orange Center Road after receiving multiple calls about an erratic driver on January 9.

After locating and stopping the car driven by Carissa Viera, 36, of Milford, at 9:27 p.m. officers found her to be in possession of marijuana and another controlled substance and administered standardized field sobriety tests.

Viera was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, driving the wrong way, possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.

She was released after posting a $50 cash bond and given a court date of February 2.

Patrol Officers reportedly observed a vehicle driving erratically on Lambert Road, weaving within the traffic lane on Aug. 3 at 12:11 a.m.

Upon stopping the vehicle, administered standardized roadside sobriety tests on the driver, Veronica Decicco, 44, of 18 Great Meadow Dr, Milford.

Decicco was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI), driving with a suspended license, and failure to maintain a proper lane.

She was released after posting $50 bond, for court Aug. 18.

Possession of Marijuana

Police responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Trader Joe’s store, 560 Boston Post Road, after closing on July 31 at 10:39 p.m.

Investigation revealed that a 21-year-old West Haven man was in possession of a small amount of marijuana  (less than 1/2 ounce).

He was cited with an infraction ticket for his actions.
