As part of its ongoing effort to thank our nation’s veterans and active duty service members, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar restaurants across the country, including those in Connecticut are encouraging the community to visit www.thankyoumovement.com to say “thanks” to our military personnel for their service.

Screen shot 2013-10-24 at 10.16.11 PMFrom now until Veterans Day—Monday, November 11—the public can visit the Thank You Movement website to show their appreciation. The community that submits the most ‘Thank You’ messages will be declared the Most Thankful Neighborhood and will receive a free concert from multi-platinum recording artist Gavin DeGraw.

The winning neighborhood will be announced on Veterans Day, and the concert will be held on a future date. Guests can also submit ‘Thank You’ messages via  www.facebook.com/applebees@applebees on Twitter or on Instagram and YouTube by using #ThankYouMovement.

“I’m happy to be part of the Applebee’s Thank You Movement and extend my thanks to our service members for all they have done,” DeGraw said. “They are the definition of selflessness, dedication, devotion and sacrifice. Please join me in thanking our heroes by sending a ‘Thank You’ message.”

Since creating the Thank You Movement in 2011 to collect messages of appreciation for each of the 24 million current and former members of our Armed Forces, Applebee’s has received more than 4.5 million personal Thank You messages through the Thank You Movement website.

“We’re thrilled to have Gavin DeGraw serve in this year’s Thank You Movement,” said Stephanie Griffin, director of marketing and public relations, T.L. Cannon Companies. “We are excited to have our neighbors post their thanks and won’t be surprised to hear that Gavin is heading to Connecticut knowing how the community supports those who have served.”

In what has become an annual neighborhood tradition, Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar will once again invite military servicemen and women to Applebee’s for a free meal on Veterans Day.
