The next full Moon will occur on Wednesday, October 20,  at 10:57 a.m.and is known as the Hunter’s Moon.

Similar to the Harvest Moon, the Hunter’s moon rises on successive days only about 40 minutes later than the previous day, making the periods of darkness between sunset and moonrise much shorter.

Because the fields were traditionally reaped in late September or early October, hunters could easily see both deer and fox that have come in search of fallen grains by the light of the moon.

Looking Back At Trunk-Or-Treat 2013

With Halloween just one day away, it’s time to revisit the 2013 Trunk or Treat event that took place on Oct. 20th.

Hundreds of children and adults had a wonderful time on the Orange Fairgrounds that day with elaborately decorated trunks and hardly a duplicate costume in the crowd.

Everyone that I heard commented on how great the event is and that they were looking forward to doing it again next year.

Enjoy these photos and remember to be careful out there on All Hallows Eve.  Follow these tips from AAA.
