Police responded to Porter Lane on July 19 at 9:29 p.m. to serve an active arrest warrant on Orange resident Ovidio Caccavale, 45, stemming from an incident that occurred on July 18.

The warrant charged disorderly conduct, assault of an elderly person, and third-degree strangulation.

Caccavale was released after posting a $15,000 bond for court on July 20.

On July 17 at 7:16 p.m. Orange police responded to the Target store at 25 Boston Post Road on a shoplifting complaint.

According to the report, Randy D. Fleming took $269 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

He was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny and was released on a promise to appear in court on July 28.

 

Editor’s Note: Target has very good anti-theft security measures in place, as you can ascertain from the past two blotter items. So, stop trying to steal from the store.

Orange police were called to Target, 25 Boston Post Road on a shoplifting complaint on July 16 at 7:38 p.m.

Investigation revealed that Erica L. Flanagan, 35, of Milford took more than $500 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

She was taken into custody and charged with fifth-degree larceny.

Flanagan received a promise to appear in court on July 28.

On Saturday, July 3 officers responded to South Greenbrier Drive regarding a 911 hang up call at 5:17 p.m.  

Investigation revealed that there was a dispute at a residence which turned physical.  According to the report, Mary Ellen Bianchi, 60, of Orange struck another person leaving bruises. 

Subsequently, she was taken into custody and charged with third-degree assault.

Bianchi received a promise to appear in court on July 6.

On Wednesday, June 30, Orange police responded to TJ Maxx, 556 Boston Post Road at 6:34 p.m., on a shoplifting complaint. 

Investigation revealed that Vito Badalamenti, 51, of Shelton took $246 worth of merchandise without paying for it.  Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Badalamenti was released after posting a $500 bond and received a court date of July 12.

Officers responded to Orange Police Headquarters on June 25 at 1:28 p.m. to process Jonathan A. Kaoud, 27, of Orange.  

Kaoud (no connection to the Oriental Rug store) was turning himself in on an active arrest warrant stemming from an incident that occurred on June 21. 

He was taken into custody and charged with second-degree harassment and violation of a protective order. 

Kaoud posted a $5,000 bond for court on June 28.

On Wednesday, June 2, officers were dispatched to the Orange Police Department to process Nicholas Fronek, 22, of West Haven (and Endicott, NY) who was turning himself in on an active arrest warrant for Disorderly Conduct at 12:26 p.m. 

According to the report, the warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on May 8 at the Home Depot. 

Fronek was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on June. 16.

On Friday morning, May 14 at 8:01 a.m. Orange police responded to Ohman Avenue in reference to a man acting erratically and yelling profanities at his neighbor. 

According to the report, Gar Rydberg, 60, of Orange was screaming obscene comments toward his neighbor.  He was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct. 

Rydberg was released on a promise to appear in court on June 7.

On Friday, May 14, at 10:52 a.m., Orange Police responded to a shoplifting complaint at ShopRite, at 259 Bull Hill Lane.  

The investigation revealed that Brian Small, 43, of New Haven took $112 worth of merchandise without paying.  Subsequently, he was taken into custody and charged with sixth-degree larceny.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on June 7.

On Sunday, May 9 at 9:11 p.m., officers responded to Police Headquarters at 314 Lambert Road to process Tylon D. Mims, 26, of Waterbury, who was turning himself in on an active arrest warrant.

According to the report, the warrant stemmed from an incident that occurred on April 8 on Marsh Hill Road.  Subsequently, Mims was taken into custody and charged with third-degree forgery, payment card fraud, payment credit theft, third-degree identity theft, and fifth-degree larceny.  

Mims posted a $10,000 cash bond and received a court date of June 3.
