News From The Orange Economic Development Corporation:

Just a quick update.  Due to the State Guidelines with COVID-19, we are unable to hold the Expo on the original date of June 10, 2020.

Therefore, we are postponing it to the Fall of 2020.  We will update everyone once we have a firm date.

Save the date for the 16th Annual Orange Business and Community Expo which will take place at the High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange, on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Executive Director Annemarie Sliby,  said, “We are looking forward to hosting the 16th Expo and would like to welcome the public and business population to stop by to network and enjoy the day.”

The Expo is free and open to the public. Business owners, their employees, and local residents can look forward to product demonstrations, activities, raffles and food trucks. Visit and network with 56 business vendors including: Albertus Magnus College, All American Waste, Cody White Funeral Home, Beardsley Zoo, Orange Visiting Nurse Association, Shops at Yale, University of Bridgeport, Visiting Angels and many more. A Speed Networking event is taking place from 10 am to 11 am prior to Expo opening. This will be a fun and effective way to make connections. Rob Thomas, of Rob Thomas CT, professional networking coach, will be the moderator. Seating is limited and registration is required. Cost is $15 per person and includes a goodie bag, refreshments and raffle entry.

Following the Expo, the Orange Chamber of Commerce together with Eli’s restaurant will host a Business After Hours event on site under the Pavilion at High Plains Community Center. See the Orange Chamber booth for details.

Vendor space is still available. Showcase your business, products or service, sell your products on site, and network with business vendors/attendees. Vendor space is limited to 56 exhibitor booths.

“Booth space is selling fast and we expect to be sold out soon,” Sliby said.

Exhibitor space is reasonably priced at $300 for an 8-foot booth, which includes pipe and drape, linen topped-skirted table and 1 chair. In addition, all vendors receive their business information listed in the Event Program, their business marketing materials included in Event Welcome Bags, their company name listed in OrangeLife Magazine, an entry into the Vendor/Sponsor appreciation raffle, and exhibitor lanyards. Booths with electricity are very limited but may be provided for an additional $100. If you unable participate as a vendor in the Expo this year, your business can still have a presence. For just $75, your marketing materials will be included in the Event Welcome Bags, which go to all attendees and vendors. You may also place an ad in the Event Program; sizes and prices vary.

Mark your calendars! The Orange Economic Development Corporation will be hosting the 14th Annual Orange Business and Community Expo at the High Plains Community Center, 525 Orange Center Road, Orange, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Expo is free and open to the public.  Spread the word to all your friends, family, co-workers.

Start the day by signing up at the Welcome Center for your chance to win a raffle item, then continue your day by enjoying food samples from various Restaurants and for the ride home buy a bag of Kettle Korn by Elm City. A series of informative seminars also will take place.

Returning this year, for kids of all ages, will be an Animal Exhibit by Beardsley Zoo.  Also for the adults there’s networking with 56 other business vendors including Connecticut Business Systems, Gutter Toppers, Sign a Rama, Statefarm Insurance Agent Kevin Piscitelli and Visiting Nurse Association.  

A Business After Hours event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce will follow the Expo.  Details at the Chamber of Commerce booth.
